In a bombshell development that could bring a halt to seismic changes in college realignment, sources tell Orangebloods.com Texas is at the table with the 10 remaining Big 12 schools working on a TV deal put forth by commissioner Dan Beebe that would hold the conference together.
LMAO...did you notice I put last year’s game as an exception???
oh, well...reading is an overrated skill
My bad. My apologies, I did read your earlier post, um, rather hastily.
But you are correct that the South (TX and OK) have whupped the North frequently in the last few years. I’m just glad to see the Huskers back up the upward track.... whatever conference they happen to be in. I bleed red.
no problem- sorry for the arrogance on my part...
Okie, huh?
LSU is a natural rival for A&M and they used to play every year. Until LSU got tired of having their asses beat and let the series expire. The LSU Coach then explained: “I have A&M right where I want ‘em. Off my schedule”.
“The other thing to keep in mind is if the TXLege will let A&M and Texas go there separate ways.”
Guv Perry is an Aggie and he says A&M can do whatever they want to regardlee of what UT does.
Beyond that, the SEC wants A&M cause they want to recruit in Texas.
Um, sir, Okie is not red. I realize that Husker Red is really “Crimson”, but it will always be big red. Okies can be “big maroon”.
From people close to this situation, I have heard the exact opposite.
Been saying for a while on this thread, that they did not have an invite. Turns out they didn't it. It was all talk and nothing more. Now we're all in a crappy situation for the next few years with the lower tier schools jealous of the schools making the big money, and we'll be right back here when the contract comes up for renegotiation.
Those of us who graduated from Okie State refer to the Norman school as Zero U.
LSU.
Everyone keeps saying this, but they haven’t played in a while, LSU has bigger rivals in the SEC now, to make it a good rivalry A&M would have to be competitive in the SEC west (which isn’t going to be for a while, assuming they’re not just another Arkansas). Could they turn it into a good rivalry? Sure. Would it be like the Texas-A&M rivalry or the Texas-OU rivalry? I’m not sold.
As I recall, Texas beat the Aggies 40 to 29 in 2009. Only an Aggie could call a 40-29 loss barely losing. And the all time record is Texas 72 Wins and A&M 34 wins. Tough to catch up on that record.
Guess you have to catch up by administering the beatings one at a time. Just like last evening.
Yes, my team sucks and everyone in Austin will admit it.
And with one losing season, heads will roll for the Longhorns.
Coaches will get run.
And that’s the way we roll. There is no excuse for losing.
However, there are other schools in the Big 12 that accept losing.
Ping me when the Aggies have more wins over Texas in the all time series.
That should take around 100 years.
