The oil industry constitutes about a third of the whole Gulf coast economy. I fail to see how a single business entity, even one as large as BP, can have the assets to cover all of those losses, plus all the other massive, and mostly legitimate, claims that will be filed against it over the coming years. Hence, the administration's responsibility to the people of the Gulf coast and all Americans is obvious: do all that can be done on the grund to prevent to prevent damages that will result in claims, many of which will be unrecoverable due to insufficient assets. Doing otherwise simply increases the demands on a fininte asset pool, thereby hurting the many people who already have massive, legitimate claims.

Instead, this monster is trying to run up unrecoverable damages as hard, high, and fast as he can, all based on the lie that, "BP will cover it all." I can go to a local homeless shelter, give some bum a bottle of Thunderbird, and get him to "guarantee" the debt of the U.S. Government. Collecting on the "guarantee" will be a bit more dicey. It will be just as hard to get BP to pay for all the damages the Illegal is unnecessarily, deliberately, and maliciously running up.

I guess the only good news is that- once the radical left kills all the geese, there won’t be any left to lay golden eggs for their campaign coffers
