Same article was written in 1964. Nothing has changed, except the bankrupting of our country.

But we have swift federal action on poverty... it’s spreading like wildfire since Zero was coronated.

LOL ... Since fishing is out — Why not teach them to clean oil from the beaches?
I bet a whole lot of them are still waiting on the gas truck to drop off their tank of gas.

1. watching and listening to this protest should make for great entertainment. i can’t wait.
2. a huge percentage of voters for obama in 2008 have now become obama cynics or are independents who realize they make a mistake. and it’s precisely because of these handouts that have been given based on a loan taken from our grandchildren that they have turned against obama.
3. therefore, this protest is only going to further alienate the independent, and, let’s face it, white voters.
just my opinion.

What? The race-based theft and “redirection” of trillions of dollars since the mid 1960’s is not enough?
I guess we should ramp up for quadrillions.

I know. How about a war on poverty? How about we try to get as many people on welfare, food stamps, and in government housing as possible. That ought to do the trick for ending poverty.

“forceful reminder to Congress” that the majority of voters who elected President Obama are still out there — and they're still concerned about creating jobs, immigration reform and making sure minorities get a fair share of stimulus funding.”
Two years and the dumb masses still think they be gettin an Obama check.
Congressional Black Caucus, workin hard to turn America into a third world hell hole.

” Nothing has changed”
Yes it has—the acceptance of single mothers who keep popping out babies keeping not only themselves in poverty but creating another 2 or 3 generations who think dependence on the government is the norm norm rather than personal responsibility.

Great, so we have a public call to absolutely ignore:
- the current economic and DEBT crisis in this Country & worldwide
- the reality of how far the current reach of gubmint at all levels has drastically exceeded its intended scope
- the TRILLIONS of dollars that have been stolen, wasted, or otherwise misspent over decades in misguided (and in some cases outright EVIL) efforts to have gubmint "fix" problems
- the simple fact that all societies that have been guided by Statist principles and policies have been ABJECT FAILURES since the beginning or recorded history
and proceed to squander BILLIONS more (in addition to the TRILLIONS wasted this year alone) to quicken the pace of our Nation's collective SUICIDE. OK, what is your next great idea Mssrs. Jealous & Jackson? Do tell us more!

How much longer are we going to fight this imagined war on poverty? Let's just confiscate every dime earned by each and every citizen every other Friday. On Monday we will dole out equal amounts to each and every citizen. Now everything will be fair. Of course, by Tuesday a large percentage will have run out of money. Alcohol, drugs, bling and all that stuff costs money you know? Maybe all retail stores should be required to hand out their merchandise free of charge. What a great country we could be if only we pesky conservatives would move to the Artic Circle.
