Then, to my mind, you're doing what is necessary. This is all a part of G-d's plan, and He is firmly in charge, not the various and sundry "leaders" who strut and squawk like so many peacocks on the stage.
The Son taught us *how* to pray, giving us a certain format. Alas, for a long time, the relevant, to this period of time, part has been done by rote, and so mechanically that folks have just lost the intent. Thus, when you pray, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done", it should be done with fervor, and a longing for that to happen, an end to all evil things in this world...
