Salazar shouldn’t even be Interior Secretary. They break and bend the rules whenever they feel like it. His appointment required a Saxbe fix by Congress. On January 7, 2009, Congress approved a bill, S.J.Res. 3 and Bush signed it into law The fix was in by reducing the Secretary of Interior’s salary to the level it was prior to the time Salazar took office in January 2009.

He shouldn’t be for a more profound reason: This office requires a “Storming’ Norman” type, someone who has the ability to be in full command of this government side of this operation. But he is no more than a political hack.
