Nice to see the League of Empire Loyalists on these threads. Do you really think that the Poms really LIKE you Yanks. They have been playing us for saps for decades, going back to WWI, a war which we should have stayed neutral in, but the Anglophile elite led by Wilson said otherwise.

The Anglophile elite in the US was overthrown a long time ago, and the ONLY reason why we should have a close relationship with the UK is the foothold it provides us in Europe. Any other argument is based on foolish emotional and so-called cultural ties that are only held by a small and dwindling minority of the American population.

He is strongly anti-American and that necessarily includes some hostility toward countries that have been allies of the evil America so a bit of that hostility leaks across the Atlantic, a bit splashing Britain while the greatest part of the much descends on Israel.

I have nothing personal against the English (who are but one component of the UK of course), but don't believe that we should walk arm in arm on every foreign policy initiative, nor should we show them excessive deference founded in sentimentality and fraud.
