Maricopa County sheriff's deputies raided two restaurants to arrest nine employees who were suspected of being illegal immigrants and using fraudulent documents to get jobs.
The raid was made as a part of an investigation into whether the operators of two Sizzler Steakhouse locations in west Phoenix broke a civil law by knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.
The sheriff's office says it received a tip from a former Sizzler manager who claimed he had been fired for his refusal to hire employees without the proper documents.
A message left at one of the two restaurants wasn't immediately returned Saturday afternoon. A manager at the other restaurant declined to provide his name and publicly comment on the raid.

I sure hope they charge whomever hired the criminals... but I doubt that will happen.

The “pro-illegals” really bug me about this also. Fraudulent documents are FELONIES and usually Federal Crimes. So, if illegals get a pass and a look the other way for their use of Fraudulent Docs which are Felonies punishable by prison time and heavy fines, what regular US citizen criminals that use Fraudulent docs are the Feds going to look the other way for or give a “get out of jail free” card to? Answer, none for the American citizen criminal or Legal Resident criminal, but for the “illegal immigrant” with the Fraud docs, nothing. (except for sheriff joe and soon rick romley will not even bother).
This is a CLEAR violation of the Equal Protection Clause, 14th Amendment.
I am so frustrated and angry with the Fed. Govt. giving the finger to American Citizens and Legal Residents.

If even one person is determined to be an illegal with false papers, I say SHUT DOWN the business location for a 12 month investigation into everything and everyone. That would make businesses NOT hire these damn illegals.
America for Americans and NO pity for the illegals...

If they hired illegals they will be charged. In Arizona, the first offense for hiring an illegal results in your business license being suspended for a week to 10 days. If it's the second offense, then your business license is revoked and you go to jail.
Someone should give the previous Sizzler manager a frickin medal. Sheriff wouldnt have even known about it if not for him.
