It’s all well and good. But I hope Palin doesn’t get too complacent about being the anointed one. We all know what happened to Hillary when actual votes were cast in the primaries.

She doesn’t strike me as complacent—she’s everywhere, getting involved (for the better) in everything!

That's the writer's bias. Palin is not an egotistical type person.

Hillary’s “anointed” status wasn’t earned. It was a gift from the media and from Bill, over the years.

Sarah’s popularity comes from recognition by everyone that she’s actually done things. Because it’s not an artificial anointment, it won’t break easily.

I don't remember ever hearing Sarah Palin claim that she is the “heir” to Ronad Reagan, let alone getting complacent about it.
