Embarrassingly, Mrs Palins team have not contacted No. 10 so far. Why is this "embarrassing?"
She holds no elective office and is not a member of the administration. Both Palin and Thatcher are private citizens.

"Savage personal attacks?" Oh, give me a friggin break! And insinuating Palins people don't even know who Cameron is? Would it even be proper for her to meet with him. She is, after all, still just a private US citizen.

Gagworthy piece, but the news is good if true.

Exactly. Maggie would be the first (and only) person in the UK I’d humbly request to meet.

From the article...
"In US Republican folklore Thatcher and Reagan brought down the Soviet Union between them."
Folklore? No bias there!

Palins people havent said anything about meeting Cameron. Their main interest is getting a picture of her with Lady Thatcher. Im not sure they know who David Cameron is.

"In US Republican folklore Thatcher and Reagan brought down the Soviet Union between them." I'd throw Pope John Paul II in there as well, with honorable mention to Helmut Kohl.

It’s all well and good. But I hope Palin doesn’t get too complacent about being the anointed one. We all know what happened to Hillary when actual votes were cast in the primaries.

Controversial US politician Sarah Palin "Controversial" is one of those media buzzwords that allows them to marginalize people they don't like. People with political beliefs the MSM dislikes are labeled "controversial," which is shorthand for "scares the children."

Exactly. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this protocol.
"...has launched a series of savage personal attacks on the US President."
I'm speechless. Mrs. Palin has never been savagely personally attacked for as long as she has been in the public eye, has she?
They are up to their old "accuse them of what we do" tricks.

As a reader of the British press, comments to articles
re the oil spill, the Brits are lumping their dislike of Obama’s comments with most Americans.
I believe Sarah Palin with her knowledge and background
with oil can help defuse some of this as Not one of the dump on England crowd.
So pleased Sarah will be visiting with Lady Thatcher.
