Its Obama’s 6 month moratorium. That will cost jobs and when the rigs move to Mexico or Brazil guess what happens then? That’s right, the jobs are lost for forever.
Oh and screwing up is just that, screwing up,an accident. The deeper the oil companies were forced to go the greater the chances of an accident like this were of happening.
Last, back to your original post, where do you get the idea that corporations can be fascist? Corporations are structures, shells filled with people in common cause.Mistakes are caused by people, sometimes individuals. Calling the corporation fascist makes no sense at all.

I think it is damn foolish to continually blame BP, rather than keep your mouth shut & work with BP to resolve this crisis. There is plenty of time after the well is capped to do a complete investigation & then assign blame where it belongs. This blame game & Holder's criminal investigation only distract BP from the problem.

Regardless of who is at fault, the COAST GUARD & the Environmental Protection Agency, along with other gov’t agencies, have a responsibility to protect our coasts from pollution, whatever the source. That responsibility extends all the way to the White House.

It is highly likely that these catastrophic spills will happen again. The next time, the responsible party may not be as willing or able as BP to remedy the situation. Our gov’t should have the resources & plan in place to protect our coasts, & they need in NOW!

There is no guarantee that BP will EVER cap the well or cleanup the Gulf Coast. I doubt BP has the assets to compensate the many thousands of businesses & people this disaster has affected, even if the well were capped tomorrow. If BP goes bankrupt, who will finish the cleanup & help the affected?

If we can spend billions bailing out the banks, GM, AIG, etc., from disasters of their own making, then the gov’t can damn sure spend billions rescuing the Gulf Coast from a disaster it had no hand in.

The Bolsheviks have always had it in for Britain as well.

Yes, for sure.

"It was not their decision on the moratorium. It was my decision and the president's decision to move forward."

In other words, the President intentionally chose to lie to the American people.

Treason

Rxactly, Obie had the responsibility to mitigate damages if he is using some convoluted theory to collect them...he is one nutso president and is setting back contract law and market stability past the uncivilized muslim ages to the lawless stone age.....what really worries me is so many libberals just don’t understand the unintended consequences of his folly...

According to the Clean Water Act, President Obama is legally obligated to use all powers at his disposal to protect America's shoreline and coastal wildlife. He is guilty of following through on his Presidential duty. As he continues to abstain from honoring his obligation and duty, BP should tell him to pound sand.

Again, his job is not to loot BP - his job is to protect the coast.

Obama is a category 6 president. Complete destruction and certain wasteland in his path. It will take years to clean up after this monster. If we survive.

One of his most sweeping demands of BP - that the company be made to foot the bill for a drilling moratorium imposed by his administration - has been undermined after it emerged that his own officials modified expert advice.

His call for BP to pay the wages of other companies' oil workers laid off during the halt to deep-water drilling and other related costs was initially viewed by the White House as a popular punitive tactic against the beleaguered British energy giant.

That's the first I have heard of this. Little Napoleon is going to kill western civilization if it's the last thing he does it seems.
