The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a Tsunami warning for all areas of the Indian Ocean after a 7.7 earthquake struck Nicobar Islands India Region.
A Tsunami Watch is in effect for India / Indonesia / Sri Lanka / Myanmar / Thailand / Malaysia.
Officials say earthquakes of this size have the potential to generate a destructive local tsunami and sometimes a destructive regional tsunami along coasts located usually no more than a thousand kilometers from the earthquake epicenter.
It says areas further from the epicenter could experience small sea level changes and strong or unusual coastal currents.
It is not yet known whether a Tsunami was generated.

Btw I live in a sequestured (sic) area of the USA but as I drove down to get the USMail drop I had a bit of radio news.
The news was horrid. Alabama flash floods 17 dead and more (22+) missing.
I would say we have some souls here to Pray for.
But I don’t super impose it was Gods will to flash flood.
I just know we have now more souls in depose.
I like/heart you for that comment.
Nice post.
And as a food lover I can only fantasize about the barberic tasty cooking.
(lived in the southern islands of PI when my very white tail was 17)
If I ever get granted another blessed move I will return to family (commies but I am the Catholic) in the deep south of the islands.
God willing I will be a Catholic ex pat.
Thanks blam.
I am lost without visuals.

IOW I like you and you speak for m.
Same with my tribe.
Very Negro in the south PI
Then came the Spanish and up north the Japenese.
But before mixing the malato the Filipinos down South were very nappy headed black.
The in breed of Spain made for some in my time there (had hormones not practicing human restraint) very tall light skinned Island attornerys.
My adoptive Mother is there now and bragging.
Yes I am jealous. I wanted to go on the trip too.
I have mission work that is my passion here in the US. darn it
Wise words from Sacajaweau.

My son who has never had verbal speech (a sign loud guy) used to get ticked back in the day.

Yep. Could be that God knew she didn't belong out there.
A tsunami would have had no affect on her boat, unless she were very close to land at the time.
I was referring to the rough waters she was already in....with the mast down and communications threatened further she likely could have stayed adrift for a time...but the ocean there is in it’s storm season so that would have beenn questionable. The whole boat was “ruined” therefore her rescue was just in the nick of time ....
Well, up until now.
