I think Steyn might be giving Obama too much credit. The guy is trying to fake his way through being President. The aloofness comes from his trying to look like he easily knows what he’s doing when he has no clue. He is overcompensating with an outward look of coolness and competence because he is in way over his head, and he knows it.

Isn’t that the point of the article? He knows nothing of substance, nothing of value. Even the liberals, who worship style over substance, are frustrated with this empty suit. How much longer will the liberals tolerate his blatant incompetence before they start to investigate his conformance with the constitutional requirements of office?

BINGO ...or to paraphrase Steyn, Obama is 'the most historically historic president in history.. '..in his own eyes. In his dry Brit/CA wit, you're saying in 'American' what he's saying in the Queen's English. There are always as many 'gems' in a Steyn uttering as there were in a Reagan uttering.
