I understand that most presidents are a generation or two removed from the “heartland”; hell, most Americans are.

We have nothing in common with this guy.

People have to eat, however. Arugula is not widely grown from my observation.

"As someone once said, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” When you’ve spent that long waiting in line for yourself, it’s bound to be a disappointment."

Exquisitely brilliant! I hope the alien Obama and his cult of Democrat Party zombies sees the this.

How much longer will the liberals tolerate his blatant incompetence before they start to investigate his conformance with the constitutional requirements of office?

However long it takes. They are too arrogant to learn from their mistakes.

A man who speaks fewer languages

Great column but I'll take issue with that one. He has to know Indonesian.

I think Steyn might be giving Obama too much credit. The guy is trying to fake his way through being President.

BINGO ...or to paraphrase Steyn, Obama is 'the most historically historic president in history.. '..in his own eyes. In his dry Brit/CA wit, you're saying in 'American' what he's saying in the Queen's English. There are always as many 'gems' in a Steyn uttering as there were in a Reagan uttering.

Obama has no need to speak French. He can merely act French.

He’s (Obama) the first president to give off the pronounced whiff that he’s condescending to the job — that it’s really too small for him and he’s just killing time until something more commensurate with his stature comes along.

Steyn rules...

My only consolation is this: when our beloved country becomes as crappy a place to live as everywhere else, we will no longer have an illegal alien problem. They won’t bother to sneak into a country that is as bad as where they already live.

European Rapid Reaction Force (ERRF).

Say "ERRF" three times rapidly and you will sound like a dog vomiting.

Thanks neverdem.
Unfortunately, in the real world, a disastrous president has consequences.
Hey, he only says that because of historical precedent. ;')

It's one reason why the religion of free will is proclaimed throughout the world -- to train us to think we're doing it for (and to) ourselves.

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard. H. L. Mencken ...
