I wouldn't be so optimistic about that. Did you see the story today that the Iranians wish to escort a "Gaza aid" flotilla with their own Iranian marines? That can only be taken by Israel as a provocation.
I am guessing the Iranians believe Obama won't aid Israel if they get into a shooting war with Iran. In fact I bet Iran is betting on Obama actively opposing Israel with harsh Sanctions if such comes about.
