I am sure the technical point of steel losing strength when heated sufficiently was explained to her and that she understood. She is just pushing button for he own perverse satisfaction and publicity.

She has not had big success since "The Rosie O'Donnell Show". Incidentally she "came out" as a Lesbian at the end of the series and has not done as well since, maybe she is bitter.
