They have NO RIGHT to take blood from high risk donors and gamble with peoples lives. One donation can be made in many units of plasma and infect many people.
There is no way they can ‘screen’ and determine if or not a gay man has had sex with another man “for a year’ - how asinine.
In places like San Francisco, they often pay for donations. If they stopped paying there would a lot less ‘crying’ from gays and druggies about not being able to give blood.

I gave right after 9-11, but for years now I’m proscribed because I was stationed in Germany between 1980-1990.
They say it’s because of mad cow disease in Europe.
Anyway, just say no to gay blood. Way too many risk factors.

Always amazes me when some group works real hard at controversy for their faction.
Like it or not gay males area higher risk for blood born diseases yet the libtards want to institute social justice so gays can feel better about their choice.
I care not a whit if two guys want to bump uglies in the privacy of their own home or other private dwelling but that doesn't give them the right to pass on their risk of disease to others via blood donation. Its the ban many other high risk groups must deal with. I've given blood many times and have seen people with "needle tracks" in their arms turned away. My father wasn't allowed to give blood because he had Tuberculosis when he was in the army (Several in his unit got it from a guy who had it but showed no symptoms.)
Choices have Consequences. If my dad had not opted for the Army and instead joined the Navy he probably would not have contracted TB. He had no idea such would happen but that is the way it is sometimes.
But Gay men know their chances of contracting HIV are dramatically increased by engaging in homosexual behavior. Such is their choice and the courts have ruled the Constitution sez they are free to do so. But the Constitution and the courts do not say they get to disregard the consequences and endanger everyone else just so they can give blood.
I gave last Winter but had to pass in Apr since I had surgery right before.
