I suspect it has to do with something other than people quitting using their product.

Thought so too at first, but then wondered why 30 bad guys line up 23 patients and murder them? More likely someone connected to the clinic did’nt obey their orders. Just guessing.

Recovering drug addicts might just be telling their counselors who they bought from.

My guess would be that one or more of the patients was involved, or knew of those involved, in drug trafficking.

The gunmen may have killed all the patients not knowing exactly who they were after, or to make the investigation more difficult.
