Actually, right now is the similar conditions in the leadup to the War of 1812, except in reverse. Now, all we gotta do is seize some British sailors on some ships and claim they were American deserters.

No Almost exactly 200. In 1812 the British burned the White House (called the executive mansion at the time, it was only painted white to cover the fire damage). I'm thinking that by 2012 they might be ready to do it again.
