I just never GOT her on any level.

If you google "Milankovich Cycles," the gravitational pull between the planets does result in a half of a degree shift in Earth's orbit around the sun, over time, resulting in periods of cooling and warming.

You can find a bio on Milutan Milankovich at the NASA website.

Ice core samples dating back 400,000 years mark these cycles every 10-12K years (just like the Ice Age and warming).

She's not that crazy.
