We prolonged the agony.
I liked Ike’s massive retalliation policy personally. He didn’t spend a fortune on armaments, he just made it clear that we will nuke you into the pages of history if you mess with us and it was Ike so nobody doubted his willingness to do just that. Once the commies got the bomb, that policy was less effective of course. Now we’re heavily invested in a strong military even though it is clear that continued investment in a strong military. We can’t afford to keep it but we can’t afford to lose it. Our foreign policy is too dependent on it now. If we abandoned the strong military, our enemies would pick us apart. This is all greatly exacerbated by our balance sheet of course. there are too many people using tax dollars and too few people contributing tax dollars so, unless Obama can miraculously create millions and millions of high paying jobs in this country, something will have to give and you know it’s going to be the military in a liberal democrat administration.
Given what passes for "progressive" brains, the outcome will at best be half-assed.

So, we can add to my comments: Never read any so called business article advice from any leftwing university like Harvard.
Why California is in the hole, we got Gonorrhea Lectim before the rest of the country.
The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It’s pronounced “Gonna re-elect ‘em,” and it is a terrible obamanation.
The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008...but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.
It’s sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. It’s pronounced “Vote em out.” You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in
2012 and simply don’t engage in such behavior again; otherwise, or Gonorrhea Lectim could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it.
It’s often difficult to encapsulate the liberal mind into a single example. Jim Quinn (of Quinn & Rose) does some of the best work in this regard. We often view liberal-think as “up is down, The sun rises in the west and sets in the east” but those alliterations fall short.
I think some of the best examples of capturing the democratic thought process (an oxymoron of epic proportion) is to pit it in terms of BASIC economic terms. A liberal would have no problem with the statement:
“An increase in supply will result in a corresponding increase in demand”
To the dim-witted Dem, the process of economics is as foreign as the processes at the atomic level. They so often either get it backward or have principles fundamentally incorrect.
