I’ve seen that here in the Pacific Northwest, particularly on rhodendrons.

Always believed it had something to do with mildew or mold, and occurs during periods of high humidity and damp.

Then you would think it would have happened before. The Memphis area is the most hot, humid place I’ve lived ~ and that’s saying something because I live in Florida now.

I agee w/ you. Wouldn’t take very much to go to the ag dept in a local university...didn’t TN just have those major floods, which means a lot of rain??
