SULLIVAN CITY - CHANNEL 5 NEWS learned the Sullivan City police chief is facing felony charges. Hernan Guerra is accused of one count of conspiracy to transport drugs and four counts for distributing and selling marijuana.
He has been the chief of Sullivan City's police and volunteer fire departments for the last four years. He is now on administrative leave.
An investigator is filling in as chief as the federal drug investigation continues. Guerra remains in federal custody.
FBI agents arrested him as part of Operation Deliverance, a nationwide crackdown on people allegedly working for drug cartels.
More than 2,000 people across the country were arrested as part of the 22-month investigation. Were told Operation Deliverance is targeting Mexican drug trafficking organizations in the U.S.
Attorney General Eric Holder released details about the operation this morning. He says it focused on the transportation of illegal drugs along the southwest border.
Holder stressed this was a major victory, but more needs to be done to fight cartels.
"Make no mistake we know that as successful as this operation was, it was just one battle in what is an ongoing war, he says. We will not rest until we have defeated them."
Holder gave Mexican authorities credit for their help in fighting the cartels.
You can rest in 2 years and 7 months, Holder, but we live in the friggin' War Zone!
well lookie here y’all....a double agent working in the US for the cartels. What a freakin’ surprise. Now whatcha gonna do about it, Barry? My guess: not a damn thing.
I don’t know anything about this particular case, but it strikes me as odd that we are trusting information from a foreign government that hates our border control efforts in any capacity.
Operation Deliverance, because Operation Take It Up the *** was already spoken for when they passed the Stimulus bill.
I liked Ike’s Operation Wetback.
Ping!))

So when he said, “I’m going out back to burn one” He wasn’t kidding.
