Mr. Obama is an odd mixture of passivity and radicalism. He's happy to be a cheerleader for policies (like nationalizing health care) that many Americans find dangerously liberal.

Odd isn't the word for it.

I think he is just a lazy narcissistic magalomaniac. He enjoys the preening/posing, but shuns the heavy lifting of high office.
