This ought to get your blood pressure up where it ought not be!
This is criminal behavior on the part of the Obama WH. Criminal negligence at its peak. There may no be no justice in this life, but there will be in the next.
Nice informative read.
Aren’t those Boers the nasty others. As in Shell?
Like british Petroleum is gonna work with them miserable lowlander Dutch? Copenhagen them more like it.
Check THIS out!
PING!
“Three days after the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico, the Dutch government offered to help.
It was willing to provide ships outfitted with oil-skimming booms, and it proposed a plan for building sand barriers to protect sensitive marshlands.
The response from the Obama administration and BP, which are coordinating the cleanup: The embassy got a nice letter from the administration that said, Thanks, but no thanks,’ said Geert Visser, consul general for the Netherlands in Houston.”
......Federal law has also hampered the assistance. The Jones Act, the maritime law that requires all goods be carried in U.S. waters by U.S.-flagged ships, has prevented Dutch ships with spill-fighting equipment from entering U.S. coastal areas.
.....Once again, though, the Jones Act may be getting in the way. American dredging companies, which lack the dike-building expertise of the Dutch, want to do the work themselves, Visser said.....
Sad to say the least when in an emergency such as this.
Yep, Obama would rather destroy BP and probably because it wants to seize its assets like it did with GM, than actually find a solution to the problem.

It’s amazing that finally at this date someone wants to write about this situation. The real truth is that BP told the Dutch to send the skimmers as soon as it was offered. The Dutch weren’t going to charge anything for the use of the skimmers either. They only wanted BP to pay for the transit over. BP’s initial reaction to the offer was to ask when they could get underway. It was the Unified Command who declined the offer citing the Jones Act. There have been many good ideas that have been turned away not by BP, but by the government because of the Jones Act. Just like these barriers being built. The federal government dragged their feet on the approval and then suddenly it puts everything on BP to already have it done.

Goddamn ****ing useless bastard.
They should have sent the offer to Bobby Jindal and the other coastal governors. They want to clean the mess up. Obama doesn’t and BP is afraid to say anything for fear of Obama.
