Pregnancy complications are medical conditions. Pregnancy itself is normal and healthy, not a medical condition. From the McGraw-Hill Concise Dictionary of Modern Medicine:

Ah, yes, theory. Very nice. You know, though, that the real test of theory is to see how it matches up with the real world.

Do women go to the doctor for normal pregnancies? Are there medical tests performed? Are most normal births performed in hospitals in the presence of doctors and nurses?

Why, YES THEY ARE!

From any practical, rational perspective, pregnancy is a medical condition.

But you go ahead and live with your little theory.
