Then why are we arguing? J.D. never stood a chance. He should have just stayed home and not wasted his time and effort. After all McCain is flush with cash, is an incumbent, and has Palin’s endorsement. I guess we’ll just have to wait until McCain retires or is dead.

I hope you’re right. I’m not in Arizona, so I don’t get a vote. If you’re there, perhaps you know something that isn’t being reported.

It is hard to get rid of any long term encumbent. Especially a rich one.

It took Glenn's and Metzenbaum's retirement to get them out of the Senate. (I'm from Ohio)

But it's not impossible. If the voters are angry with McCain, then out he goes. I just think the root of the issue is that Arizona seems quite content with McCain. Unbelievable, but true.

Metzenbaum was a real POS. I remember him from the Clarence Thomas hearings.

A few years later, he put a real estate deal together(illegally), and was forced to disgorge his 1/4 of a million commission.... LOL!

Well, we aren’t the norm of the electorate. We “do” politics 24/7. Most voters are starting to pay attention right now. McCain is saying all the right things. It’s enough. Once the voters are done casting ballots, they return to their lives of Idol, Dancing with the Stars, and America’s Got Talent.

McCain is chicken to debate JD...it would be no contest. JD as a radio talker spent a few years debating with people every day.

JD needs money...but what hurts him so much is that MSFox News has McCain on so much....they give McCain free campaign air time.

Also, McCain, and all his supporters know, the race is a lot closer than the media paints it to be. When the liberal media cannot get cocky over their candidate (McCain)....you know there is a problem.

Also, still over 2 months to go....Hayworth probably best not to peak or campaign to early....look how that helped Sue Lowden in NV
