We already knew that BP and its folks were significant contributors to the record $750-million war chest of Barack Obama's 2007-08 campaign.
Now, we learn the details of a connection of Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago mayoral wannabe, current Obama chief of staff, ex-representative, ex-Clinton money man and ex-Windy City political machine go-fer.
Shortly after Obama's happy inaugural, eyebrows rose slightly upon word that, as a House member, Emanuel had lived the last five years rent-free in a D.C. apartment of Democratic colleague Rep. Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut and her husband, Stanley Greenberg.
LA Times? Just.... wow.
Well..Well..Well PING! (The L.A Times no doubt...mmm...mmm..mmm)
Whoa! That is one juicy bit of information.
From the LA Times? I’m shocked.
Surely, this is an inadvertent indiscretion!
Anyone ping Drudge?
I’m glad this story is getting legs.
Greenberg's consulting firm was a prime architect of BP's recent rebranding drive as a green petroleum company, down to green signs and the slogan "Beyond Petroleum." Greenberg's company is also closely tied to a sister Democratic outfit -- GCS, named for the last initials of Greenberg, James Carville, another Clinton advisor, and Bob Shrum, John Kerry's 2004 campaign manager. According to published reports, GCS received hundreds of thousands of dollars in political polling contracts in recent years from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Probably just a crazy coincidence. But you'll never guess who was the chairman of that Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee dispensing those huge polling contracts to his kindly rent-free landlord.
Hmmmm. Was this during the same years that Emanuel declared his own house in Chicago the corporate seat of his "Foundation" (a foundation whose only officers and contributors are Emanuel and his wife) thereby taking his home OFF the property tax rolls?
No rent in DC (therby no tax contribution). No taxes in Chicago. Millions $$$ in the bank. Some people know how to live large.
Oily Birds make strange Bedfellows
LA Times? WOW!
I think Rush was talking about this over a week ago. (Pretty sure I heard it on Rush’s show.)
The entire Jack Squat Barry administration, to include Jack Squat himself, should be thuroughly investigated for possible criminal activities...all of them.
OK, let’s connect the dots for all the sheeple.
1.BP is Obama’s biggest Doner
2.Obama Chief of Staff is provided a RENT FREE apartment by a BP Advisor
3. BP gets preferential treatment by the EPA and is exempted from inspections on the Deepwater Horizon well.
4. Deepwater horizon blows out.
IOW, a Quid Pro Quo if I have ever seen one.
Drain the swamp. The culture of corruption permeates the Obama administration.
Neither BP or Oboma seem that concerned about the spill. BP can just pass the cost of Cap & Tax on to the consumer, and Obomas Crime Inc. can still rake in the dough. The only people hurt are the taxpayers, so why should either of them worry? It's not like the sweat will be rolling off their backs.
LA Times is just helping ensure that Rahm meets the necessary “qualifications” to be RAT Mayor of Chicago. You can’t be just a two bit crook and expect hold that position.
“Pffffffft everyone in power does it.”
That doesn’t make it moral, ethical, or right. It means a lot of people need to go to jail.
Oh, but so many conservatives are defending BP. This was all an unavoidable accident. Obama and the Dems need to stop attacking BP. Most of these conservatives never consider the Dems may be exhibiting faux outrage to cover the fact that they’re literally in bed with BP. And that this “accident” was a result of negligence, and government incompetence.
