HARTFORD, Conn.
Connecticut elections officials are investigating whether Weston businessman Peter Schiff violated state laws by using out-of-state workers to collect signatures to petition his way onto the Republican primary ballot for U.S. Senate.
In a complain obtained Monday by The Associated Press, James Bancroft, who said he was a founding member of the Hartford tea party group, claimed he was approached by a Schiff supporter outside a store in Newington last week and asked to sign a petition. Bancroft said he struck up a conversation with the worker, who said he was from Montana. Bancroft filed the complaint with the State Elections Enforcement Commission on Friday.

so, I am glad you are on record as defending the breaking of elections laws!
Ill just write your name down, thanks! Oh sh**. My name is written down.
Does this mean you're going to investigate the time I hurried my "Mississippi" count that time when I was playing touch football?

I think that most of the Paulbots believe in homosexuality be forced upon society, and in the murder of American babies and in attacking the military under the guise of blaming American policy for their treason.
Of course they have to low key here at FR. They wouldn’t want to expose their agenda.

You Conn Guy's are getting ripped off. In Mass signature collectors get between $1 to a $1.50 per certified signature, may have gone up since the last time I was involved. City and Town clerks have to certify each signature, one signature per form is the norm, keeps the hack in the town halls semi honest, sometimes.

You have that right. I seldom hear a peep from them when it comes to the freedom of association and equal justice under the law. I support the right of any citizen to ask that the law be enforced as written but it doesn’t mean I have to support idiotic laws designed purposely to accomplish goals contrary to the interests of the freedom of the citizen.
I do know the guy who filed the complaint did so because the Hartford Tea Party endorsed Schiff. Also the individuals who he identified do not work for the company Schiff is using to help collect signatures. Regardless I’m for Schiff. Linda was out there funding liberal Democrats as recently as this last election. Do CT Republicans want a responsible Republican they can be proud of? I hope so.

Is Race the only one on this board concerned that laws are being broken? Are you so-called conservatives so desperate to win an election that you will commit/excuse fraud in order to win? Shame, on you.
To: Man50D
I know exactly where he stands. Moral issues are not a high priority right now. Fix the economy and everything else will work itself out.
I for sure as hell don't want to see an American form of the Taliban on moral issues. I have read many posts here from posters who would be all for it.

Well, if the name is Sarah Palin then the "win at all costs" attitude seems appropriate to many here.

If a libertarian comes out strongly for the ‘right to association’ I at least do gain some more respect for them. What Ron Paul did in his vote to force the men and woman of the Armed Forces to bunk and shower with homosexual perverts is not libertarian by a long shot.

Why would you want to de-rail the candidacy of one of the sharpest economic minds we have on our side.EXACTLY my thought. When I first read the story I thought BS. We'll have to see what finally shakes out. I know he got shafted at the convention.

Just the opinion I get from debating a few here at FR. They have taken the same positions as Code Pink, left-wing gay rights activists and of abortion being legal.
Ron Paul hinself made a statement proclaiming that homosexuality and heterosexuality should be treated equally. That his own perverted moral view and many Paulbots seem to follow it now.

Is Race the only one on this board concerned that laws are being broken? "Race" isn't concerned about laws being broken either. As is obvious by his posts, Race has a woody out for Shiff.
If it was his guy and some po-dunk volunteer for his campaign had done the the same exact thing, you wouldn't see a post like this.
NOW WOULD WE RACE?

I know exactly where he stands.
You don't have a clue. You only listen to sound bites and video clips. Try spending an hour to two with him in person a few times and grill him with a wide variety of questions. Then you get in idea what he thinks.
Moral issues are not a high priority right now. Fix the economy and everything else will work itself out.
Oh really? Morals were a high priority for our founding fathers when they wrote the Constitution. Lack of morals is one reason why we're in this mess. Fixing the economy is not the paramount responsibility of the federal government. National security needs to be the top priority. failing that duty will be irrelevant since terrorists will destroy us from within our own borders. I suggest you read James Madison's Federalist paper #45 to understand what our founding fathers intended for the role of the federal and state governments

You should be proud. You did a good thing.
Either way, Connecticut is hopelessly lost... but the Pauls and their flock exist to create permanent leftist rule and they need to be defeated everywhere.
