PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) What was Elton John doing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding?
John performed at the reception when Limbaugh married Kathryn Rogers in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, according to the Palm Beach Post.
John has not made a statement on why he chose to perform for Limbaugh, in spite of the outcry from the gay community.
Some reports say John earned a million dollars for the gig.

Elton John has a lot of very beautiful, lovely songs that are completely appropriate for a wedding ceremony. As a Christian, I pray that soon Elton will come to know Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord, and use his musical talents for the Lord. God gives everyone gifts and talents, not to be used for worldly gain but to reach out to world to bring it to Christ.
you nailed it!
oops
I’m sure he doesn’t care. And he’s smarter than that.
Looking for action in the bathroom?
I'm sure it's a nice bathroom.
I hope you're not referring to Levon's kid. ;)
Mad Man Across the Water is still one of my favorite albums. After Benny and the Jets, Elton's music that was free on the radio got really annoying. By then I wouldn't pay a dime for any of it.
Actually, Theodore Roosevelt would have something to say about Rush's approach to family:Finally, even more important than ability to work, even more important than ability to fight at need, is it to remember that chief of blessings for any nations is that it shall leave its seed to inherit the land. It was the crown of blessings in Biblical times and it is the crown of blessings now. The greatest of all curses in is the curse of sterility, and the severest of all condemnations should be that visited upon willful sterility. The first essential in any civilization is that the man and women shall be father and mother of healthy children, so that the race shall increase and not decrease. If that is not so, if through no fault of the society there is failure to increase, it is a great misfortune. If the failure is due to the deliberate and wilful fault, then it is not merely a misfortune, it is one of those crimes of ease and self-indulgence, of shrinking from pain and effort and risk, which in the long run Nature punishes more heavily than any other. If we of the great republics, if we, the free people who claim to have emancipated ourselves form the thraldom of wrong and error, bring down on our heads the curse that comes upon the willfully barren, then it will be an idle waste of breath to prattle of our achievements, to boast of all that we have done. No refinement of life, no delicacy of taste, no material progress, no sordid heaping up riches, no sensuous development of art and literature, can in any way compensate for the loss of the great fundamental virtues; and of these great fundamental virtues the greatest is the race's power to perpetuate the race. Character must show itself in the man's performance both of the duty he owes himself and of the duty he owes the state. The man's foremast duty is owed to himself and his family; and he can do this duty only by earning money, by providing what is essential to material well-being; it is only after this has been done that he can hope to build a higher superstructure on the solid material foundation; it is only after this has been done that he can help in his movements for the general well-being. He must pull his own weight first, and only after this can his surplus strength be of use to the general public. It is not good to excite that bitter laughter which expresses contempt; and contempt is what we feel for the being whose enthusiasm to benefit mankind is such that he is a burden to those nearest him; who wishes to do great things for humanity in the abstract, but who cannot keep his wife in comfort or educate his children.
I could care less about the world’s singers. They bore me. Same old, same old all the time and they don’t have a clue about what life is really all about.
It’s nobody’s business but Rush and Elton John.!
that rules out a lot of entertainers, artists, musicians, writers, poets, singers, painters, actors....um you get the point.
I'm sorry, but just because you don't agree with someone's lifestyle doesn't mean you can't enjoy their music, art, acting, etc. Personally I find if offensive that Rush takes his marriage vows so lightly he continues to get married. He makes vows before God and then breaks them. But that doesn't stop me from listening to him on the radio nor would it stop me from buying his books. I support his conservative thinking even though his lifestyle is an affront to my 25 years of faithfulness to one man in my marriage. Just sayin.
Then it says:
Some reports say John earned a million dollars for the gig.
Ya think there may be a correlation? It's a "Here's your sign" moment in journalism.
plus, it’s a little gross that he’s marrying such a younger woman. He’s going to get divorced again. I give it two years. TOPS.
Probably for the same reason the waiters served food and the bartenders made drinks.
I agree....deeply disappointed and see it as tacit approval of sodomy.
Only one thing is important.....WHO married them...a pastor or a lay person??
Wonder if he performed Have Mercy on the Criminal?
John has male strippers dressed as Cub Scouts in his “act” and has called Christ a homosexual. I’m puzzled as how some “believers” here on FR, not to mention Rush, can overlook that.
I couldn’t care less how talented he is. That is crossing the line into Sicko Land. I would never let someone like that entertain at my wedding, no matter how much my current honey wants it. Especially if I am paying for it.
BS! It's just like giving money to a drug addict or drunkard.
Thank you very much.
I was just about to observe that some here have never heard of the Dixie Chicks.
