Just made that up, and it may not apply in all cases, but I've encountered a lot of older people whose hearts were never too pretty; and they haven't seemed to "age well". But I also know many whose hearts were very beautiful; and age just made them sweeter--and softer!
My father is deceased but he was prejudice, and he often would always make derogatory remarks agaisnt Black People...
( We would Always say Dad why don’t you be quiet and go watch TV! and he did! LOL)
He just had a big mouth like that in front of the family..
He never spoke like that in public, and I have seen many old people raised in a time when bigotry of all kinds ran rampant..... I voluntered in a nursing home one time and heard all kinds of racial slurs and whacked out comments from the elderly.....I just think their comes a time when Seniors should be Seniors by having the *Family* care for them...
Helen Thomas being 90- should be out of the Political limelight, he family should take care of her and then she can yak yak yak all she wants in her backyard....
I guess I have just seen many people her age say crazy things....My mom is 78, she is getting a bit CRANKY lately!
YIKES!
