Elton John Performs for Rush Limbaugh Wedding
Live Street Journal ^ | 06/06/2010

I can’t stop asking myself how did Elton John, gay pop icon, ended up performing at at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding.

Anyway, the act took place in Palm Florida on Saturday night. The guests included celebrities such as Fred Thompson, Sean Hannity, Bush adviser Karl Rove, golfer Tom Watson and Rudolph Giuliani. Did i forget to mention it was a 400 guests wedding?

Limbaugh and Rogers met six years ago at a charity golf tournament. There is a 20 years difference between the two but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for them. Kathryn Rogers said she is “sometimes not able to relate to the average person my age.”

I’m guessing Elton John couldn’t help it and went for the million bucks. That is the reported $1 million payday for Elton John. But still , having a gay guy performing at your wedding is a bit ..awkward.

Joel’s voice is now totally shot. Decades of alcholol and tobacco abuse have taken their toll. In his prime he was a versatile vocalist for someone with no training.

This just in: conservative icon Rush Limbaugh can look past one’s personal sins and accept the person... or maybe he just enjoys Elton John’s talent.

Liberal diversity-loving Reporters at a loss.

The Old Adage, “A Fool and his Money are soon parted”.
This marriage won't last either, 2 or three years tops and then the Bride leaves with a fistful of cash.
Rush would be better off going to his High School reunion and finding an old girl friend to marry.

I’m not familiar with it...my now nearly grown oldest kids were though

I think my three youngest might know him too from some modern works

I like stuff like:

Leave-On

Madman

Rocket man

Tiny Dancer

Texas Love Song

most of the stuff before we knew he was so queenie...when he was a scraggly guy behind a piano..before the glitter and big glasses...before Stigwood and Carr

Taupin married a girl from Vicksburg and Elton sorta moved into flambeau turf at the same time...76 or so

He is talented no doubt but dang so queened up...good thing he;s cuter than Harvey Fierstein

didn’t his guitarist die?

Davey something?

But give the man (Elton John) his due.

One of the best concerts I ever saw was Elton in the late 70s in Frankfurt. Ray Cooper was his only accompanyist, and they rocked the house.

If I had Rush's dough, I could see myself inviting Elton, Rush (the group), the Stones, etc. Heck, I could see myself having a concert with nothing but movie bands: Strange Fruit (Still Crazy), Spinal Tap, Steel Dragon (Rock Star), and The Wonders (That Thing You Do).

Just to pi$$ off my wife, I'd bring in Spyrogyra. One of the best concerts ever, but she told me she hated it, 20 years after the fact.

Hell, I'm broke, so it's just a pipe dream.

If we limit our entertainment to only those who agree with us philosophically, we might as well be Amish.

There aren't any conservative singers that could have performed?

And, I know Rush has money but blowing a million on Elton John when it could have gone to a charity also says something about his lifestyle.

I don’t remember him being outspoken with extreme liberal beliefs.

Rush is able to separate the person’s talent from the person’s ideaology

He claims to be a Christian and has no problem paying off someone like John that has blasphemed Jesus Christ? That says a lot about Rush's priorities and spiritual state.

The bottom line is can you blame a guy for wanting to make his new wife happy so that he can have great sex with the same person for the last 25 years of his life?

You don't understand if that is what it takes for someone to have sex with you, the relationship isn't rooted in love and ISN'T GOING TO LAST?

By paying a well known out-of-the-closet homosexual Rush shows that he sees nothing wrong that perversion.

And, nothing wrong with those that blaspheme Jesus Christ as John did just a few months ago.

Let's not forgot, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual Rudy Giuliani was also invited.

It doesn’t matter to the conservative if the seller of a superior product happens to be liberal or gay.

What conservative wouldn't rather hire someone with similar talent that has similar values at one of the most important events of one's life?

If he did care he would be using his program to speak out and use his influence to stop the perversion of homosexuality that is overwhelming our country and the world.

Did you see that Rush has bought into the hoax that homosexuality is biological:

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=159285

I found myself reflecting on the moral and intellectual confusion that bedevils this subject as I read, in the same article that reports his fears, that Rush Limbaugh "regards homosexuality as, most probably, biologically determined." The article goes on to say that "while he opposes gay marriage as culturally subversive, he has no problem with gay civil unions."

Does anyone really understand what it means to say that homosexuality is biologically determined? All the physical reactions we associate with human sexuality have a biological basis. But does this mean that they are no longer a matter of human choice and responsibility? People talk as if sexual preferences are like skin color, matters determined by natural processes beyond the control of the individual. But if this is true, why is only the homosexual preference removed from the realm of moral responsibility, and not the preference for children, or animals or violent sexual assault?
