WOW !!!!!!!
That was beautiful
Me too
A former USAF chaplin passed out the lyrics to all four verses at a "Support the Troops" rally in Sherman Texas during Desert Shield. He pointed out the "other 3" verses are somewhat more "militant" Than the one normally heard. Particularly the third, which is almost never heard.
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Well for 15years been going down to georgia. I like it down there.Family down there too. Thanks.
It a headline. Who gives a crap.
must see video
I was glad to see the folks begin to stand and place their hands over their hearts. That’s been my practice for years, but I was beginning to question my knowledge of decorum since no one else seems to do it.
I live in Georgia, in a rural area about an hour east of Atlanta. Except for some liberal strongholds, such as the inner city and university cultures, it is quite conservative—a refuge in a time of national storm.
Something else we never heard in school..
Beautiful - just beautiful. Thanks for the post.
Agreed. Now where is that cloth I use to clean my glasses.....
Gumband snap! You MUST see this!
this is one of the most moving things I have ever viewed on YouTube

Hard to believe that I learned that verse in elementary school...of course that was in the 60’s.
Holy cow, that was BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks for the ping.
Thank God there are still patriots willing to stand up for their country. I keep expecting a patriot within our law enforcement or military to expose the truth behind who the traitors are that put Zero in power.
Lip Balm for the socialist elite.
Now you see advertising with Spanish translations under the slogans. If you live in the USA, you ASSIMILATE and learn English, you fly the flag of the country to which you pledge your allegiance and that is the United States of America. And yet these illegals spit in our faces, tear down our flags and fly their own and challenge us to do anything about it, because they feel no love for this country, and follow no rules that this country puts forth...they are illegals and they must be stopped and returned to their native country. Yet, the socialist govt. presently in power will not enforce the laws on the books and protects only “their own”..it's an uphill battle, true, but who said it would be easy?
But I digress...if it were not so hot (health issues) in Georgia or any other state that resembles the description you gave of your area, I would move there in a flash. Guess I'm going to have to make some decisions...align myself with like-minded people living in a “refuge in a time of a national storm” as you say, or remain in the state that once was a good place in which to live, but, sadly, not anymore. “These are the times that try men's souls” — so true.
