The White House confirmed Thursday that an aide had dangled the prospect of a government job in front of another contender for the Senate — prompting Republicans to call for a criminal investigation.

Democrats, however, maintained that the administration was guilty of nothing more than good politics.

White House officials said the aide discussed a possible federal post last year with Andrew Romanoff, a Senate candidate in Colorado, in a bid to avoid a contentious primary with Democratic incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet.

“We have never heard of Andrew Romanoff. We have never talked to Andrew Romanoff. We would never offer a job to drop out of a primary to this Andrew Romanoff. Colorado isn’t even one of the 57 states.....excuse me? He saved the email? What a wanker.....OK. We have heard of Andrew Romanoff but offering him a job is simply good politics. What we meant to say is that we have never heard of Joe Sestak and did not offer him a job. We’re pretty sure he didn’t save the email.”

Yeah! Chicago Style! As crooked as the Mississippi River and as loaded with "Green" as the Chicago River on St. Patrick's Day.

guilty of nothing more than good politics.

Good politics is to say: "Hey Pete, why don't you hold off on running against one of our incumbents? We need to save the money needed in a contested Primary for the General Election."

That's good politics! Offering a job to affect an Election is a felonious crime.
But, what does that bunch of Chicago thugs in the White House know about the Law?
