An internal IDF review of the takeover of the Gaza-bound ship Mavi Marmara revealed that three soldiers were briefly kidnapped while aboard the vessel. Are you sure? I was told that they were “peaceful” activists. /SARC
Not sure of much these days ... :)
Not possible. The news media assured me that the “passengers” were peaceful victims of Israeli terrorism. Kidnapping hardly seems in character for such innocents, unless there were just a few isolated incidents of kidnapping along with the assaults and attempted murders, all of which were out of character for the heroic volunteers on the ships.
Does anybody here think the IDF is going to drop commandos on the next ship that tries to run the blockade? I don’t. Bibi would never throw his soldiers’ lives away. Obama would, but not Netanyahu.
I do, but I think this time it won’t be “sea cops”, it will be Israel’s equivalent of Delta Force.
There will also be an assumption of hostile intent. The Muzzies won’t be taking guns away from them this time.
However, if there is an indication of firearms aboard the next ship, I still don’t think it’ll be a drop-in boarding.
Probably all the Israeli’s need is a few ocean going tug boats to push the flotilla vessels away.
