What I want, in conclusion, is that all Christian clergy of the political right, Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox, gain a stronger voice and not be shy of it. The condition of this country is a scandal. As much as I admire the Tea Party folks, they alone are not going to be able to get the country back from the political class, because they lack a spiritual focus.Very well said! I've been told to "go back to" (and much worse!) the "Religion Section" on Free Republic because of my talk stating that our next candidate needs to be a strong Christian (in my mind a daily-Mass attending, Rosary-reciting, Reconciliation-receiving Catholic would be good). You can't fight this type of flaming "scandal" in our country with a water hose. What do you think of Jindal (as a presidential candidate)?
In fact, I was going to point out that his article, 'How Catholicism Is Different - THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ISN'T JUST ANOTHER "DENOMINATION"' (FR posting from New Oxford Review) was on my profile page, but it turned out that the thread had "copyright issues".
This is the link to the original article: www.newoxfordreview.org. I'l go update my profile.
