I am literally yards from the Gulf of Mexico in St. Petersurg. There is no oil anywhere around here in the water. The problem is the southwest wind; as long as it continues to blow from that direction the problem will continue to move towards the west coast of Florida. This instant communication is mostly great, though only when people report the truth and leave the fiction alone.

Will you post an update if anything awful comes slicking into Tampa Bay and the St. Pete or Clearwater beaches?

I'm snowbirded out-of-state at the moment....and am praying the oil stays away from my central west coast area!

it is not coming towards tampa at all, it should maintain that buffer. when is the last time anyone has ever been 50 miles off of tampa besides those three football players that tradically lost their lives?
