To: Second Amendment First
She regarded the flaunting of weaponry as an act of intimidation - and a tragedy waiting to happen.

Does this mean that she wants to disarm the police. With all of the innocent victims that the police are gunning down it might not be a bad idea.

He explained how police officers are trained to regard the presence of handguns as a potential threat.

One answer to your question. Constantly thinking the world is out to GET you, is poor training, and will result in certain things happening that are at best undesirable in a society especially when only one side is sure to be armed.

The California legislature may pass this, and Arnold may sign it, but I do not expect that it will stand for very long. I expect that the Supreme Court will incorporate the 2nd Amendment to the States via the Chicago vs McDonald case, and then the California open carry ban and “may issue” ccw law will both be challenged. Likely both will lose. It is also likely that the insane liberal regime in California will go down in flames and a sane regime will reverse this law (hey, it is possible).
