From one of my college Stat’s professors, “You have to watch what your read, always, because I can get the numbers to say whatever you pay me to have them say.”
I learned a lot about questioning the form of “Statistics” delivered. He was very anti-drug company too, because he had worked for one, and described for the “success rates” were manipulated.

400,000 of those jobs are temporary census workers. This summer, they will be let go. Also, jobs lost because of drilling oratorium will be considerable. What then?

According to ADP’s report yesterday, only 55,000 private sector jobs were added in May compared to only 32,000 in April. The SRM (state run media) is slinging steaming piles of manure and the bozos on Wall St. do not seem to understand that soon, there will be very little private sector earnings to invest in the markets.

According to ADPs report yesterday, only 55,000 private sector jobs were added in May compared to only 32,000 in April.
According to the wsj 100,000 new net jobs are needed each month to accommodate people entering the labor force; in addition 125,000 new legal workers are brought into the US each month. That's a total of 225,000 jobs net that need to be added each month to stay even.
And this does not factor in the effect on the economy of people working part time who need full time work, or those who got a new job making less money, or Zero shutting down drilling in the Gulf.

I feel that the general public, the mass of sheeple, have little clue on just how bad things are spiraling down - soon to a serious depression IMHO.
NC legislature just passed a $18.9 billion budget for next year.
Sources are also reporting that there will be a $3-4 billion shortfall. That's pretty significant and a story in of itself as they are telling me that things are expected to seriously worsen economically.
