As I recall, in 1973 it was American resupply that turned the tide. On the other occasions I agree.
Nixon told the Israels that if Ariel Sharon who had crossed the Nile river and surrounded the Egyptian 3rd army had he destroyed that force then he Nixon would not rearm and resupply Israel. In every war up until recently Israel could have smashed their enemy completely but was stopped by the U.S. gov’t.
