CHICAGO (CBS) - The massive BP oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico could be causing some backlash at Wrigley Field and U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago. CBS 2's Vince Gerasole takes a look at the newly sponsored "BP Crosstown Classic."
Whether snapping a North Side picture at the home of the Cubs, or buying Sox tickets on the South Side, just thinking about the Crosstown Classic is a fan-pleasing faceoff.
Bob Sorrells, a Cubs fan from Chesterton, Ind., said, "You're jacked up from the moment you wake up in the morning (on game day). Your adrenaline's pumping."
Sox fan Jose Vargas said the annual showdown between the Sox and Cubs is special, "because it's crosstown baby. It's the greatest versus the average."
This year, whoever comes out on top in the six game series will lay claim to an arguably dubious trophy: The BP Crosstown Cup.
"Wow," Sorrell said. "Talk about hanging your hat on something bad."
