We go from very simple pre-Cambrian life-forms to something as complex as a cephalopod in the geological blink of an eye, which illustrates just how quickly evolution can produce complexity. Or perhaps, that the theory of evolution is suspect, and an Intelligence greater than our own did the designing of all these forms in a geological blink of an eye.
