Multiple shootings are rare in Britain, where gun ownership is tightly restricted and handguns are banned. In 1987, gun enthusiast Michael Ryan killed 16 people in the English town of Hungerford. In 1996, Thomas Hamilton killed 16 children and a teacher at a kindergarten in Dunblane, Scotland.

Apparently not that rare.

There have been a few murder/suicides at ranges lately. The latest I recall was in Utah.

You ever notice how these shootings NEVER, EVER take place at firing ranges?

I realize the story is from across the pond, however, back here in the US of A we had a nutjob take out her own son last year at a firing range.

Nobody saw it coming, she shot, then when the son stepped up to shoot, she shot him in the back of the head.
