Most people who live in Kirk's district have heard for years that he prefers men. It was a big mistake for the Illinois Republican Party to not step in support a true conservative instead of this Rino. Kirk has now made it that much harder to get that seat - ala Mark 'sicko' Foley.

that means throwing the gays (like him) under the bus.

Not every homosexual believes in the same thing.

I have nothing against a homosexual who keeps his lifestyle to himself. But Kirk is exactly like Charlie Crist - a limp wristed RINO through and through.

I believe the same group will also bring obama out of the closet. The larry sinclair fling that obama had is known by many, and what is good for kirk is good for the obama.

So what’s wrong with being gay? The liberals only seem to hate Republican gays.

Maybe you can be gay and STILL not feel the laws and customs 100’s of years old should be changed?

Maybe you can be SMART about being gay and not think you have to come swishing out of the closet OR into the military (if you want to live in a good and safe country)

Being gay AND being against “dont ask dont tell” are NOT mutually exclusive. (or hypocrtitical) Are gays too stupid to see that (I dont think it is a gay/stupid thing only a liberal/stupid thing. )

So, he lied about his military record and he’s gay.

Wonderful. Boy, we Republicans can really field some winning candidates can’t we?

I worked with a gay guy who was a good conservative. He never talked up gay marriage or any of that crap. He just lived his life, did his job, and voted Republican. He didn’t keep his life a secret—but he didn’t make it the focus of his life either.

I don’t think he was a chameleon either, changing his actions to fit the people around him. He was genuinely conservative in his politics AND he happened to have a boyfriend.

I perhaps belabor this point to merely point out: it is not impossible to be gay and conservative. I have witnessed it first hand. The guy disdained liberalism, because he worked hard for everything he had, and didn’t feel like having the government redistribute his wealth. We really didn’t talk much about social issues, but he wasn’t vehement about any of them; I suspect he was generally supportive of the conservative positions on them.

I think Kirk ought to be judged like anyone else: his positions on the issues and competency.

For instance, Bill Clinton was not a homosexual, but I still don’t want him back in power. Same for Jimmy Carter.

Maybe this same reporter should talk to Larry about a wild limo ride...or maybe follow-up on an unsolved murder of a choir director. Nah!

This is the candidate who was backed by the Republican “leadership” in the primary. This is what they wanted. A gay pro-abortion socialist.

I think Kirk ought to be judged like anyone else: his positions on the issues and competency.

Sure, let's judge Kirk on the issues:

- Pro partial-birth abortion
- Pro gun control
- Pro cap and tax
- Pro big spending
- Pro endless war
- Only voted against Obamacare at last minute

I don't want this socialist POS anywhere near the Senate.

And the Illinois Star Trek curse continues. Republican's shouldn't even run a candidate with a Star Trek last name...
