House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). (AP Photo/Cliff Owen)(CNSNews.com) -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says she believes she must pursue public policies "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh."

Pelosi, who is a Catholic and who favors legalized abortion, voted against the ban on partial-birth abortion that was enacted into law in 2003.

At a May 6 Catholic Community Conference on Capitol Hill, the speaker said: “They ask me all the time, ‘What is your favorite this? What is your favorite that? What is your favorite that?’ And one time, ‘What is your favorite word?’ And I said, ‘My favorite word? That is really easy. My favorite word is the Word, is the Word. And that is everything. It says it all for us. And you know the biblical reference, you know the Gospel reference of the Word.”

I can't think of any other place where I've read or written about “The Word made flesh and dwelt among us” in recent times.

Makes me sorta... paranoid that they take their talking points from FR and then have no idea what they are saying.

Dear Mrs. Pelosi:

If you believe in the Word who was made flesh and dwelt among us... as John wrote... then you will do HIS WILL by KEEPING HIS COMMANDMENTS and picking up your personal cross every day, dying to self, and following Him.

"Those who love Me will do My will". Your Cross, Mrs. Pelosi, is that sin that you personally have. The one that you cannot overcome without God's help. You know, the sin in your life that you need to repent of, daily? And that means that you just don't say you are sorry, but turn away from your sin, pay back what you have stolen, and do the right thing in faith? This is how you show your love to Almighty God. By dealing with sin in your life.

I'd take a wild guess at what that sin is but I don't want to presume. But lying is a sin. So is making the State a God, that is idolatry. So is murder. So is drunkenness. And you know what, Mrs. Pelosi, fear is also a sin. Read about it. Anyway, bless you Democrats that come here. May you find Christ first, the real Jesus of the Bible who loves you the same way God loved Saul before He became Paul, and then, may you become conservatives, working for the goodness in people and not taking bribes or blackmailing or lying about anything.
