I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
People want blood...and they will get it.
Repair Effort = Neck
Not hard to predict outcome........
Looks like they’re cutting again...
Has BP gotten any chunks of this operation to the surface? Do they have anything physical and tangible to research?
Elections have consequences and the appointments that are made have even more reaching consequences. Dumb, Dumber and the Dumbest are in power, with tweedle dee, tweedle dum and tweedle dummer as some of the appointees. So now BP will walk away and let the brightest scientists in America that the Dumbest person can find. Sounds like the same administration is now after Ford regarding a problem with the gas pedals because 3 cars have had problems. Lets see destroy GM, Chrysler, Wall Street, toyota, health care industry, BP and Ford. Gee Obozo is having a good year of ruining everything that everyone knows. whats next tires, bicycles, motorcycles, toilets, drinks. 400% increase on gasoline to pay for the clean up. Come Nov2, 2010. the only incumbents will be those who do not have 2010 as an the year of there deselection.
As usual, mixed messages.
UPDATE II: BP spokesperson John Curry denied reports of any problems with the Lower Marine Rise Package, which begins drilling today.
Reports that BP had canceled all rescue plans were based on a headline from Bloomberg: Efforts to End Oil Flow From BP’s Leaking Well Are Over, Coast Guard Says. While BP is ending efforts to halt the flow, it will continuing efforts to capture the flow.
Stop trying stop flow does not equal stopping all relief operations. Just that they aren’t going to try to top kill anymore, and have apparently decided not to try stopping flow w/ a second BOP.
Efforts will continue to capture as much oil as possible (LRMP ‘hat’).
You don’t drill w/ an LRMP...you drill with a drillship, semi-sub, jack-up, or other drilling rig.
What started today were operations on the LRMP.....
Just a writer who doesn’t understand what’s going on

I have no respect for any of these Idiots,You fix the problem then point fingers and then do the girlie you did it. We have no leadership and the office of president has been empty since the end of 2008.
this gusher sucks.........but it looks like BP smarter than OB
Article titled "Why Obama should put BP under Temporary Receivership"
The solutions from the LEFT just keep rolling in but still come up SHORT. Sarcasm intended
Here’s how Obama’s handling the spill
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzllR24e-FY&feature=player_embedded
“if we find evidence of illegal behavior, we will be forceful in our response,”
Like the club wielding thugs at the polling place?
Like the bribe to keep a congressman from running against Specter?
This administration is so incompetent.
This should help clean up the oil spill......except it won’t.
Good to know the Obama admin has its priorities straight.....no boom and sand bags for the gulf coast, but they have plenty of time to sick the lawyers on BP.
This is, on a lower level (so far), exactly what Stalin and other communist leaders did. Charge engineers and executives with crimes.
In response to problems, Obama and his administration litigate and manipulate. They know little else.
They have no idea how to produce things or correct problems.
I wonder if they are going to include the federal government’s response in the ‘probe’?! /s
They are sending lawyers to do an engineers job.
Verdict first, evidence second is an alice-in-wonderland approach to fixing problems. Instead of hurling accusations, threatening jail, or sending lawyers, the administration should right now be 100% focussed on fixing hte problem and helping to stop the leak. So far, they havent done anything helpful. It’s all on BP.
BP didnt do anything intentional, but they screwed up. When the post mortem is done, they will surely find that risks were either not accounted for properly, and/or
There is always a cause, whether it was human error or some level or risk that was not properly accounted for.
Good engineering always involves the ‘belt and suspenders’ approach of multiple lines of defense to potential risks, especially catastrophic ones. In the other infamous oil spill, Exxon Valdez, it was concluded that double-hulled tankers are a lot safer than single-hulled (as Valdez was); so double-hulled is now required. .
We now know that the Federal Govt has been slow in approving mitigations - booms, centrifugal treatments, dispersants, oil burns - in case after case, the Federal authorities held back approval or were slow to respond.
Blaming BP while being slow to help fix the problem is the wrong approach.
