I discovered a wonderful thing called automatic bread maker so I've been making the dough there and adding the toppings upon the requests of my family and friends. To the day have we found something better. I know, it seems very unpractical but believe me, it's the wrong perception since we are in charge of the toppings.
We also discovered a local wood burning oven pizzeria which we use at times.

Okay, so where do you go for pizza? Anywhere within 50 miles of NYC. New Haven CT if you stretch it. Otherwise you're screwed.
And no - you can't get good pizza in Chicago. Or anywhere grits is served. Or on the West coast
You may think you are getting good pizza, but you're not, sorry.
