Actually Robin Hood, robbed the Tax Collectors and gave the money back to the people.
The Robin Hood analogy is not really rob the rich, but, rob the tax collector and give back to the taxpayer. It was the tax collector that was the target of Robin Hood and the people. In that vein, the Tea Party and Robin Hood are simpatico.
