I was just reading news articles about Netanyahu, and ALL of them stated emphatically that he had not cancelled his trip to the White House.

So I think the rumors are true that BHO & Rahm told Bibi he wasn't welcome.

I believe you have it right. Although I can understand why Netanyahu needs to go home immediately to deal with a growing crisis, there is no doubt that the last thing the Administration wants is a picture of Netanyahu meeting with Obama.
