Amazing how you could change a few words to fit the current situation around the world and in our country, and the story will flow just the same today, as it unfolded back then...

I don’t know what you all are going on about. I seem to remember last years FreeRepublic Bass Fishing tourney and the horrendous wakes in that water that capsized all our boats. Terrible shame about our guns. Did they ever find them by dredging?

You could drop 5 or 6 grand at that site w/o batting an eye. Sigh.
Guess the M4gery or 870 will have to do then.

Make sure you post it when you do find it...I’ll keep muh eyes peeled as well...
It looks like an extremely well made and functional weapon, and I’m sure it could shoot like a dream...It does look like you’d need that suppressor, or some sort of faux suppressor tube to balance the entire rig...
I think I have a few spare Glock mags around here somewhere...;-)
I bet you the MSRP is in the $2K area...

Surrendering your weapons does not buy peace, but only paves the way for ultimate defeat. If you want peace, prepare for war. A good message for the day...

What goes hand in hand with not giving them up is the necessity of putting them to use when the occasion merits it..
What good is having a collection with hundreds of guns, with thousands of rounds for each, if they never leave your gun safe?
Saber rattling and running around screaming "molon labe" will only impress a certain few. Those in power will not be impressed at all. They are "safe".

Another good lesson is 1776. Where we not only refused to give up those arms, we took the field against those trying to take them from us.
"Never forget, even for an instant, that the one and only reason anybody has for taking your gun away is to make you weaker than he is, so he can do something to you that you wouldnt let him do if you were equipped to prevent it. This goes for burglars, muggers, and rapists, and even more so for policemen, bureaucrats, and politicians." Aaron Zelman and L. Neil Smith, Hope (2001)

If you want peace, prepare for war. ... Yet another lesson of history never learned by our inexperienced president ...Mais non, monsieur ... this lesson was learned very well by The Won.
He desires our destruction, therefore he prepares for peace.
