One of the founders of Hamas was Abdullah Yusuf Azzam, who was Osama Bin Ladens mentor. (Abdullah Yusuf Azzam was offed, probably by Egyptian Islamic Jihad of Ayman al-Zawahiri in a dispute over where next to wage Jihad.)
